Steff Deschenes speaks in run-on sentences. And she writes in fragments.
At some point years ago she embraced the idea of smart being sexy, and smooshing the two words together, has frequently described herself as "smexy."
She wrote a twelve-time award winning self-help book about how ice cream and people are like. No, seriously. When she can remember to do so, she also writes two different blogs: "Maybe It's Me" (personal essays on topics she knows she can't be the only one thinking about) and "Fact is Better" (stories that prove that fact is better than fiction every time).
Steff, a vegetarian-striving-to-be-vegan, is also gastronomically-obsessed and is currently attempting to eat whatever the National Food Holiday is every day for a year at Almanac of Eats (her newest project!).
She likes awkward moments, her bunny sometimes, she doesn't think before she speaks, wears flip-flops year round, is having a bad hair life, and believes beets taste like the color green.
Finally, Steff has been known to stand in airports holding a sign that says, "Free hugs."
