730 Project - December 24th

We Loved it too Much
730 Project - 12.24.11. Steff and Jeffrey Remick. At home. Homemade "Thanksgiving Pizza" (beer dough topped with Daiya cheese, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and cranberry sauce) with a side of extra crispy crinkle cut fries and Vegenaise for dipping.

I'm one of those people who stops counting calories and generally giving a hoot about what they eat starting at Thanksgiving and ending around the first week of January. I just don't see the point: it's the time of year that you see family you don't see (and usually eat with them), go to parties (and usually eat at them), and get to gorge yourself on treats that only get made once a year. Thus, I don't try to restrict myself or enforce any weird dietary rules the last month (or so) of the year.

Besides: that's what winter is for! To become a polar bear (get fat, stop shaving, sleep loads - that's my goal for the next few months . . . you?).

I wanted to gastronomically spoil The Photographer the few days he was spending at my house for our little Christmas break, and I knew this semi-decadent pizza would (since it's basically carb on top of carb on top of starch on top of carb). He loved it. I loved it. We loved it.

Actually, we loved it a little too much and overindulged.
